A purple glazed Hagi ware matcha tea bowl ... or trinket holder, small serving dish? Simplicity of form and decoration is a key feature of Hagi ware. Kunnyu (small cracks in the su rface) allow tea to slowly seep into the clay, ultimately changing the colour of the piece over time. It is this transformative nature of Hagi ware that makes it highly prized amongst collectors. All our vintage items are hand sourced in Japan exclusively for the maker. Show more
