Visual Documentation: Raise the deflector and note the spring orientation before disassembly (a quick phone photo helps). Set the deflector mid-range so spring tension is manageable. Disconnect the control rod (Rod-Deflector) from the deflector to free the assembly. Transfer/inspect the torsion spring: replace if stretched, broken, or missing; confirm correct spring “clocking” so the deflector returns and holds position. Install the new deflector: reassemble spring and rod. Cycle the deflector full up/down: confirm it holds position and does not bind. Need Help Verifying Fit?
