The COSTUMAKERS Activewear One Way Separating Zipper in Sept. Brown, 70 cm (28"), is a reliable medium-weight closure for sportswear and outerwear where a front opening is required . With #5 silver metal teeth, the chain balances strength and smooth operation so jackets, vests, and fleece layers can be opened and closed repeatedly without compromising alignment. The one-way separating design disengages at the hem, making dressing quick and the placket easy to position during installation. Prepare by interfacing the zipper area to stabilise the placket edges, baste to confirm collar and hem symmetry, and stitch with a zipper foot, keeping the needle close to the teeth without contact. After sewing, test the box and pin at the base to ensure a clean lock-up and verify the slider’s travel from end to end. The Sept. Brown tape coordinates with common activewear palettes—choose tonal thread for a blended look or a slightly contrasting tone to emphasise topstitching. Care is simple: follow the garment fabric’s instructions and use a press cloth around the metal components to protect fibres. Keep a range of lengths and colours on hand so alterations, repairs, and new makes proceed with consistent, professional results. Show more
