DMC Soft Matte Cotton (Retors Mat) is a smooth, low-sheen cotton thread for needlepoint canvas, tapestry work, and visible mending, with a matte look that reduces glare. This 10 m (10.9 yd) skein in Colour 2938 offers consistent coverage for half cross-stitch and long stitch on open-weave grounds, whether you’re filling backgrounds, borders, or motifs. Choose it when you want a softer cotton look than wool and a muted surface that photographs clearly for display, gifts, and framing. For tapestry and needlepoint projects, explore embroidery thread and needlework supplies.
