A rustic sparkler of Vermentino from the organically farming Tuscan winery Poggiosecco. Gently fizzy with a nose of orange blossom, salt and quince and a yeasty hefeweizen-like textured plate bearing semi-tropical notes of lemon curd, dried pineapple and ginger root. Naturally fermented with a brief period of skin contact and left non-disgorged in its hazy glory. Azienda Agricola Poggiosecco is located in the hills of Montalbano, Tuscany between the towns of Cerreto Guidi and Vinci. The winery was established in 1967 and was one of the first members of the Consorzio del Chianti. In 2001 Poggiosecco was completely restructured and began the path toward organic farming. Their goal is to produce quality wines that respect the characteristics and nature of the land. *Natural and Organic
