What truly sets the beer apart is the addition of passionfruit purée directly into the fermenters, giving the final product a distinctly tropical, tart character that pushes the style in an unexpected direction.Tasting NotesAroma: The nose opens with bright passionfruit and a candy-like sweetness reminiscent of a tropical popsicle. Underneath, coriander spice and a hint of lemongrass add herbal complexity.Taste: The entry is tart and exotic, led by passionfruit, guava, and mango flavors that layer over the soft wheat base. Mid-palate brings pineapple and papaya notes alongside subtle floral and earthy hop character. Despite its fruit intensity, the beer maintains a creamy, refreshing quality thanks to the oat content.Finish: The finish is super-dry and crisp, aided by medium-light body and high carbonation. Lingering passionfruit tartness fades cleanly, inviting the next sip without residual sweetness. How to Drink 5 Lizard5 Lizard is best served well-chilled at around 40–45°F, poured into a tulip glass or Belgian-style goblet to release its aromatic tropical notes. It also works as a versatile base in beer cocktails: a Shandy — mixed with fresh lemonade — amplifies its citrus-tart personality; a Michelada plays off the lime peel and adds savory depth with hot sauce and Clamato; and a Beermosa pairing with mango or guava juice highlights its Latin-inspired fruit character.Best For Warm-weather cookouts and backyard grilling sessions Introducing craft beer drinkers to fruit-forward witbier styles Pairing with Latin American cuisine at dinner Bringing a unique six-pack to a beer tasting or party Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does 5 Lizard taste like? 5 Lizard delivers a tart, tropical profile dominated by passionfruit, guava, mango, and lemongrass over a soft wheat base.
