[EVANS Hydraulic Red UV Coated] This UV-coated snare head is a clear version of the Hydraulic Red series. It produces a very tight, focused sound with almost no overtones. [UV coat ing] EVANS' exclusive UV coating provides a durable finish that won't chip or peel as easily as traditional coatings. This coating also enhances the surface texture, resulting in excellent response to brush strokes. [Hydraulic Red] The Hydraulic Red retains the look and sound of the original, while offering a soft, supple touch and excellent tuning thanks to the LEVEL360 technology that is a hallmark of EVANS heads. The Hydraulic series is a signature EVANS product, with its unique character created by sandwiching an oil film between two ply films. Highly durable, it faithfully reproduces the fat, deep, and short sustain of the 70s Rock 'n' Roll beat sound. The excellent sound separation also makes the drum tone clearer, making it ideal for studio recording. Even with high-pitched tuning, the sound doesn't become thin or the high frequencies become harsh. These drum heads are thick and dynamic, giving the impression of a larger drum set.
