Award-winning speaker cabinet emulation Featuring OX | Amp Top Box dynamic speaker modeling technology, Lion '68 Super Lead delivers the authentic impact of six classic speaker cabinet setups, with perfectly placed studio mics and dynamic room sound. ◆Authentic Super Lead sound The Lion '68 faithfully reproduces the bell-like clean, aggressive kerrang, and thunderous distortion of select vintage Super Lead heads—the only "amp-in-a-box" pedal that delivers speaker-popping, rock-solid tone you'll ever love. ◆Classic Super Bass tone Are you looking for spongy attack and clean headroom without the aggressiveness? The Super Bass tones offered by the Lion '68 are perfect for pairing with overdrive, fuzz, delay and more, and are a great representation of this great Plexi variation. ◆Superb brown sound Van Halen's "Brown Sound" is known as the pinnacle of Super Lead tone. From the brutality of an under-volted Super Lead amp to a Celestion 25W Greenback/JBL D-120F 4x12 cabinet mix, you get the aggressive sizzle, soft mid-range attack, and clarity that has inspired generations of guitarists.** Add a real boost The Lion '68 takes crunch and searing lead tones even further with proven boost recipes like the Maestro EP-III preamp and Boss GE-10 10-band EQ. Customize your sound with the UAFX Control app The UAFX Control mobile app gives you complete access to Lion '68. Add the built-in noise gate, download custom tones, recall and archive presets, and explore generations of sound even further. ◆Details about the "Golden Units" To capture the classic Plexi sound, UA sought out the best examples with "laydown" transformers: a '68 Super Lead and a '69 Super Bass. The "Brown" amp also uses a Variac to step down the wall power to 90 volts and rebias the amp to an extra hot state, giving it some of the most famous hot rod sounds and feel ever recorded. *Please note The UAFX Lion '68 Super Lead Amp requires a 400mA isolated power supply (sold separately). To update the UAFX firmware, you will need a computer that meets the system requirements for the UA Connect app. **Product names used herein are trademarks of their respective owners, who are in no way associated with Universal Audio Inc.
