Original tintype of Walter Ellis Bennet (1850-1908) working on what I believe is an 1860's Florence Treadle Sewing Machine. In the 1880 Connecticut census Bennet's occupation was l isted as "Machinist". Confidence of the ID is 100%, based on other ID'd photos in the album that this was found in. Looking up his death certificate, it shows that Bennet died of pneumonia some days after a self-inflicted slash to his throat. Note that he is only identified on the album page. THE ALBUM PAGE IS NOT INCLUDED, but is provided here for ID purposes. This buyer will receive the tintype only.Tintype is about 3.25" x 2.25" with some bends, including a vertical one with associated emulsion loss. Shipping: Ground Photo mailer.
