Fender Japan was born in the early 1980s by incorporating Japanese-made guitars. For a long time, it was affectionately known as Fenjapa, and even today, after many twists and turn s, Japanese-made Fenders are still loved all over the world. This time we have the "Flame Standard" from the Master Series, which was produced from around 1984 to 1988. It's a rare guitar, with not many in circulation. 【body】 The total weight is approximately 3.75 kg. Designed by Dan Smith, also known for developing the Smith Strat, the Master Series "Esprit" and "Flame" models feature a carved maple top (the Ultra model has a spruce top), alder back, and chambered body. The Flame, a smaller version of the Esprit, boasts a solid-like response with reduced box resonance thanks to its chambered construction. While there are signs of use, such as scratches and dents overall, scratches on the back buckle, and tarnish on the metal parts, the guitar is in relatively good condition considering its age. The rubber on the control knobs, except for the front volume, is missing. 【neck】 The neck is made of maple with a rosewood fingerboard and a set neck joint. The standard model features dot inlays. The tuners operate smoothly and there's little noticeable unevenness when winding. The nut width is approximately 43.8mm. The neck has a sleek shape with a solid neck width and reduced thickness. [Electrical system] The controls are simple: two volume, two tone, and a three-way pickup selector switch. The coil splitter switch and TBX tone control have been omitted. The output jack has been replaced. With rich sustain, powerful and engaging original humbuckers, a well-balanced sound with a rich, airy bass, and a truly exceptional tone, this instrument truly lives up to the Master Series name.
