To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the BOSS brand, a special model, the DS-1-B50A, has been released, featuring a metallic painted casing, silver screws, gold knob caps, and a commemorative emblem. Unlike typical tone controls that simply cut the high frequencies, the DS-1 offers a very wide range of control with just one TONE knob. Turning it clockwise increases the highs and decreases the lows, while turning it counterclockwise increases the lows and decreases the highs. This unique design allows you to create everything from sharp, edgy rhythm sounds to fat, lead sounds with just one knob. Vintage-style amplifiers often suffer from low-end saturation when distorted with pedals, but by using the DS-1 as a booster to moderately cut the low frequencies, it's possible to create a sharp, tight distortion sound. With its simple three-knob control, which became the basis for compact pedals, this pedal offers a wide range of distortion sounds, from mild to heavy, and allows you to create an extremely broad range of tones. The wild low-frequency distortion produced by the transistor and op-amp step amplification circuit is strongly favored by musicians in heavy music genres. The DIST knob allows you to freely control the distortion, from a mild distortion for amp boosting to a heavy distortion for aggressive rock riffs.Condition: No problems with use.
