Abel Pliers The Tool That Set the Standard Abel Pliers are the benchmark by which all fishing pliers are measured. As the first fully machined pliers designed specifically for anglers, Abel changed what durability, precision, and longevity could look like in a fishing tool. That legacy continues today with a refined design focused on strength, serviceability, and long-term performance—built for anglers who demand gear that lasts season after season. Precision Engineering with Extended Service Life At the heart of the Abel Plier system is a modular jaw and cutter design that maximizes usability and lifespan. The cutter and anvil components are identical and user-rotatable, allowing anglers to flip the cutting surfaces 180 degrees when worn—effectively doubling cutter life without replacing parts. This thoughtful engineering ensures consistent, clean cuts and dependable jaw alignment over years of hard use. Built to Fish Hard, Built to Be Maintained Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the handles are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and perfectly balanced for one-handed operation. A spring-loaded handle keeps the pliers ready at all times, while the included sheath ensures secure carry on the water.
