Above offers a wide, quiet view: soft horizon, open sky, and a stretch of fields that feels like it could go on forever. It’s not about detail; it’s about space. The kind you only notice when you slow down. Dawn Richardson painted this after a drive through northern Door County. Somewhere along the way, she crested a hill and caught this kind of view - light shifting across land, sky opening up, and no noise except maybe the wind. The strokes are loose but layered, giving the piece a sense of calm without feeling static. It’s a painting that gives you room to think. Or just breathe. Show more
