Allergy Research Group 5-HTP is the immediate precursor to serotonin. Serotonin is a key neurotrasmitter made primariy in the intestines and brain. It is crucial to modulation of pathways helping to keep your immune system and brain on an even keel. Supports Mood Supports Emotions Supports Brain Health Many common environmental toxins interfere with serotonin production and utilization so many people will do better with some serotonin pathway support. 5-HTP combines natural ingredients to support a healthy serotonin balance. The amino acid L-5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is created from L-Tryptophan in the body, and is a precursor to serotonin and melatonin. Our 5-HTP is derived from a plant source, and is carefully tested to ensure its purity and to guarantee the absence of contaminants. This nutrient is of the highest quality and purity obtainable, free of all common allergens (antigens), and does not contain preservatives, diluents, or artificial additives.
