Bamboo capping is a bamboo top cap that sits along the top of half-cut bamboo panels. It's not a panel. It comes in 2 metre lengths, about 100mm wide, at $10 a length inc GST. It tidies up the top edge and helps keep rain from running straight down into the bamboo end grain. It's in stock, and each length covers 2 metres of fence. What bamboo capping does It finishes off the top edge, so the fence looks done instead of just stopping. It gives the tops of the poles a slight protective effect, because rain isn't going straight down into the end grain of the bamboo. You don't always need it. Plenty of people leave the top as it is. Capping is there if you want that cleaner finish. Which panels it suits It fits on top of half-cut bamboo panels. Measure the total top edge you want capped, divide by 2, and round up to the next whole length. Say you've got a 9 metre fence. 9 divided by 2 is 4.5, so round up to 5 lengths. That's $50 inc GST.
