What is the Bash Minnow? The Bash Minnow is an American-made swimbait with a realistic twisting tail manufactured in Texas by WM Bayou (GulfStream Outdoors). It imitates a shad or minnow with a realistic twisting tail that creates natural swimming action on the retrieve. Available in 3-inch and 4-inch sizes. The Bash Minnow is designed to float; hook choice, added weight, and rigging affect its presentation. How do you fish the Bash Minnow? The Bash Minnow works on multiple techniques: Chatterbait/bladed jig trailer (steady retrieve, covers water fast), swimbait hook (3/8–1/2 oz weighted — mid-depth control), shaky head or drop shot (finesse presentation for pressured fish), and Carolina rig (dragging over humps and points). Retrieves: slow roll near bottom, medium-speed straight retrieve, or yo-yo for reaction bites. What fish does the Bash Minnow target? Primary target: largemouth bass and smallmouth bass in shad-forage lakes. Also effective for stripers and crappie in larger sizes. Ideal during the shad spawn in spring and fall baitfish migrations when bass are schooling on open water. What are the best Bash Minnow colors? Top colors: Holo Fish / Silver (clear water, matches shad), White (low light and overcast conditions), Chartreuse (stained/muddy water), Ghost Minnow (pressured clear water lakes). Where is the Bash Minnow made? Hand-poured in Houston, Texas by WM Bayou. American-made in small batches for consistent quality. Is The Bash Minnow designed to float? Yes. The Bash Minnow is designed to float. Its presentation depends on how it is rigged, including the hook and any weight. Bro, when bass are feeding on shad or minnows, you need something with that realistic swimming action. The Bash Minnow gets it done. This swimbait has a realistic twisting tail that kicks on the retrieve, creating that natural baitfish swimming motion. Whether you're fishing shallow or deep, this thing imitates what bass are already eating. How I Fish It: Chatterbait/Bladed Jig Trailer - My go-to for covering water, steady retrieve Jighead - Drop it to bottom, hop it back, or swim it mid-depth Texas Rig - When you need weedless around grass or cover A-Rig - Throw multiple on an Alabama rig for schooling fish Real Talk About Swimbaits:The key is matching your retrieve speed to what the fish want. Some days they want it burning fast, other days they want it crawling slow. Start fast and slow down until you figure them out. Color Selection:Got natural shad colors for clear water (Mr. Natural, Silverfish) and attractor colors for stained (Chartreuse, Guacamole). Can't decide? Match your local baitfish or go with what's working in your area. Target Species: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, White Bass Why Choose WM Bayou?
