Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Kurogaki, and Jindai Keyaki are left uncoated, allowing you to enjoy the natural texture of the wood and the way it develops with use. Jindai Sugi is finished with a clear urethane coating to help prevent its natural resin from transferring to the pages of your book.
