Cleaning is rarely the part of the day anyone looks forward to. The Buddy Squeegee, from Umbra's much loved character series, makes a small argument for changing that. The handle is a little figure with outstretched arms, and once you have used it a few times it becomes oddly difficult to be irritated by the job. Underneath the charm sits a genuinely capable tool. The flexible silicone blade pulls water, fog and soap residue cleanly from glass, mirrors and tiles, leaving surfaces clear rather than streaked. The moulded body is built with anti-rust technology, so it holds its finish in a room that is wet twice a day. A waterproof adhesive strip is included, and it grips tile, glass, drywall and concrete without drilling and without damage when you take it down. Choose matte black for contrast against pale tile, or clean white to disappear quietly into a lighter scheme. Either finish sits comfortably in a minimalist bathroom, and both are enough fun to soften a family one. If you are working through a wider refresh, our bathroom collection gathers the pieces that make daily routines feel considered rather than chaotic. Buddy also keeps good company. The Buddy over door double hook and the Buddy doorstop set of two carry the same character design through the rest of the house, and the Flex adhesive corner bin mounts alongside it in the shower using the same no drill approach. FAQs Will the adhesive strip damage my tiles or paint?Umbra states the waterproof strip holds securely in wet conditions and lifts away without marking the surface underneath. It is rated for tile, glass, drywall and concrete. It will not hold on porous surfaces, so unsealed stone, unglazed tile and textured plaster are not suitable. Press it onto a clean, dry surface and leave it to bond before hanging Buddy. Does it work on textured or frosted glass? It works best on smooth surfaces. On heavily textured glass the blade cannot make full contact, so you will get a good result rather than a perfect one. Can I use it outside the bathroom?Yes. It is just as useful on kitchen splashbacks, interior windows and mirrors. One in the shower and a second near the vanity mirror is a sensible pairing. Which colour should I choose?Black holds its own against white tile and reads as a deliberate accent. White recedes into pale bathrooms. Same tool, two moods. In Short Buddy earns his place on the glass. No drilling, a silicone blade that actually does the job, and enough personality to make the least appealing two minutes of your morning slightly better than they were. Black or white, both the same tool.
