A rectangular gold-tone padlock anchors the front of this compact key holder, its engraved Chloé signature set against deep black grained leather. The clasp secures with a satisfyi ng click, joined by a short gold-tone chain — a miniature echo of the hardware that defined an era of the house’s accessories. The Chloé logo, rendered in a serif font with the accent on the ‘e’, is pressed cleanly into the leather. Inside, the construction is tidy and spare, designed purely for keys. The hardware holds its brightness, and the exterior shows only the lightest signs of handling. The original box accompanies the piece; serial card numbered 30.9.01 is present. The padlock motif and gold hardware place this firmly in the Phoebe Philo era, circa 2005–06, when Chloé’s Paddington designs were selling out before they hit the shop floor.
