French Flower Matiere Premiere Modern tuberose: with fresh green florals When developing French Flower, the concept of « tuberose in its natural duality » served as the primary inspiration. This fragrance explores both the fresh, living brightness and the sensual nocturnal depth of tuberose flower — capturing the sensation of walking through a field of blooming white flowers at dusk. The brand describes it as an homage to French tuberose absolute, revealing the flower in its purest and most contemporary form. Rather than leaning into overly creamy or vintage floral territory, the composition emphasizes contrast: radiant greenery against narcotic floral richness, freshness against sensuality, transparency against intensity. It is meant to evoke the feeling of « white petals glowing in the evening air » — vibrant, addictive, vegetal, and deeply elegant. Olfactory Notes Upon the first spray, the fragrance opens with a strikingly green and luminous interpretation of Tuberose from France — fresh, airy, and almost dewy in texture, far removed from overly dense white florals. The opening feels crisp and vegetal, capturing the living stem and petals of the flower simultaneously. As the scent evolves into the heart, delicate nuances of Tea Leaf and Orange Blossom emerge, adding aromatic transparency and soft floral radiance that amplify the natural brightness of the tuberose. Gradually, the fragrance settles into a creamy yet refined floral warmth where Pear Accord subtly enhances the flower’s fruity facets, while a soft layer of Musk wraps the composition in a smooth, skin-like aura. The result is simultaneously fresh, narcotic, green, and sensual — maintaining a luminous floral trail that feels sophisticated and modern for hours. FAQ How long does French Flower last?Fragrantica users frequently describe it as long-lasting with strong projection, leaving an elegant trail that stays noticeable through the day. What does French Flower smell like?A green, dewy tuberose rather than a heavy creamy one. It opens crisp and vegetal — stem and petal together — then tea leaf and orange blossom add transparency and soft radiance. Pear accord brings a subtle fruitiness and musk closes it with a smooth, skin-like warmth. Is French Flower too heavy or old-fashioned?No. It's deliberately built against vintage tuberose conventions — the greenery and airy texture keep it modern and wearable where classic tuberoses can feel dense or dated. Is it unisex?Yes. The green, vegetal treatment and restrained musk base make it far more shared than most white florals. How does it compare to other tuberose fragrances? It sits at the fresh, transparent end of the spectrum rather than the buttery, narcotic end. Expect living flower rather than heady bouquet, though the sensual depth still emerges as it settles. What season and occasion suit it best?Spring and summer show the greenery best, and it works well from day into evening. Its refinement makes it comfortable in professional settings, though the projection means a light hand is wise. Who created French Flower?Perfumer Aurélien Guichard, released in 2022. Made in France as an Eau de Parfum.
