This piece is inspired by Glaucus atlanticus, a tiny sea slug better known as the Blue Dragon. It feeds on venomous siphonophores, including the Portuguese man-of-war, but instead of simply surviving their sting, Glaucus stores their stinging cells in its own body and uses them for its own defense. This ability became the central meaning behind the piece: taking something that could harm you and turning it into your own protection. That’s why I see this piece as a kind of talisman — not against danger itself, but as a symbol of the ability to transform it into your own strength. Handcrafted in 925 sterling silver and finished with rhodium plating to help preserve its shine over time. The Glaucus piece consists of three elements. The central part, a 3 cm mollusk, rests on the nose, leaving no obstruction for vision. The chain is made of stainless steel with beveled facets that add extra shine. The ends are shaped like tentacles, adorned with the logo and a pearl. This piece is suitable for any nose shape, as it simply rests on the bridge of the nose.
