An ethereal, hand-blown glass sphere that casts diffused light. A masterclass in understated elegance, the Glo-Ball Basic series was designed in 1998 by English designer Jasper Morrison, whose work is represented in MoMA’s collection. Inspired by a desire to capture the quiet radiance of a full moon and the otherworldly magic of the night, each lamp features a hand-blown, acid-etched opal glass diffuser that transforms raw light into a soft, uniform glow. Available in multiple sizes and switch configurations, this versatile accent brings a serene, modern presence to sideboards, bedside tables, or floor surfaces. Made in Italy by Flos, a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection. Features of the Glo-Ball Basic Table Lamp include: Choose from Basic 1, Basic 2 and Basic Zero Switch (each sold separately).
