The Grossane olive tree, also known as Groussan, is a vigorous French cultivar with an upright growth habit and medium canopy density. Its lanceolate foliage complements medium-wei ght, spherical fruits ideal for producing sweet black table olives. While the oil yield is modest, it delivers a distinctive fragrant profile, though aromatics fade relatively quickly. This freestone variety exhibits intermediate bearing that responds well to irrigation and fertilization, delivering consistent medium production. Hardy against cold, drought, and Verticillium Wilt, Grossane requires cross-pollination with Aglandau. Note that the variety shows sensitivity to olive scale, olive moth, and olive fly, necessitating appropriate pest management strategies in susceptible regions. Show more
