Insta360 Mini Remote - just 6.4 grams The thumb-sized Insta360 Mini Remote weighs 6.4 grams, so adding a remote to a travel setup adds very little bulk. It’s made for Insta360 users who want to start and stop recording without reaching for the camera. Clip it to a selfie stick for moving shots, strap it to a bike handlebar to control recording while riding, or attach it to a fishing rod when the camera is set up away from you. Two straps come in the box, and the remote’s small size makes it easy to carry between setups. It’s a focused accessory rather than a general-purpose controller: its single-click recording control and adjustable base are the useful details here. Pair it with a compatible Insta360 camera and you can operate the recording from up to 10 metres away. For compact action-camera setups, that’s a simple way to keep the camera in place and the controls within reach. What it does Remote operation up to 10 metres: Start or stop recording while you’re away from the camera, handy when it’s mounted on a pole or positioned for a wide shot. One-click recording control: A single click starts or ends a recording. That keeps the main job straightforward when you’re concentrating on the activity in front of the lens. Rotating base: The base turns through 360 degrees, so the remote can be positioned for access from different angles after mounting. Two mounting straps: Use the supplied straps to secure the remote to a selfie stick, handlebar, fishing rod or another suitable point. The universal mounting approach gives you options for different shooting setups. Works with Insta360’s folding 2-in-1 selfie stick: It’s compatible with the stick’s 1/4-inch mount, which has a dedicated place for the Mini Remote. That keeps the remote with the stick when you’re packing or filming on the move. Good to know The listed compatible cameras are Insta360 X4 Air, GO Ultra, X5, Ace Pro 2, X4, GO 3S and X3. Compatibility can depend on the camera, so Insta360’s official website is the reference for the latest supported models. The Mini Remote’s firmware should also be kept up to date. These are worth checking when pairing the remote with a particular camera or updating an existing setup.
