It's one of our best sellers, and it's easy to understand why. Our vitamin rich Winterbor kale grows quickly (up to 3 feet in height!) and can handle Toronto's harsher spring and f all. That means you can enjoy this easy to grow plant for over half the year outdoors! Continuously harvest its outer leaves for yummy kale smoothies and plant it in rows alongside other leafy greens to eat homegrown salads as often as you'd like! Planting and Care Instructions Plant Winterbor Kale in a large planter or in your garden bed in rows spaced 1 foot apart. Kale loves sunlight and grows vigorously well into the Fall. To maximize your harvests, it is recommended that you let the plant establish in your garden for 2-3 weeks before harvesting, at which time you can pick leaves from the main stem starting from the bottom of the plant, leaving the tops to continue growing throughout the season for regular harvests.
