"Long-time Collectors of mine have likely noticed my preferred style: the subject large enough so that one can appreciate its fine details, but small enough within the scene so that the entire environment and the moment can be fully appreciated. "It is never easy, but chasing the emotions that captures like this evoke is what drives me each and every day. "As a nature photographer, I often live by an internal mantra of, “No capture is ever perfect, and I can always do better than I did with a subject in the past.” For years, I’ve believed this to be true. However, after this moment and the capture I made, I humbly believe that I may have, for a very brief and isolated moment in my life, come as close to perfection as any human can. "I say this with no ego, as I didn’t create the leopard, the tree, or the last light of the day. Rather, I say this as I hope to spend much more time in Africa during my life, but I don’t know how I can ever surpass this capture. "For these reasons, I titled it simply Leopard. It needs no embellishment."
