Discovery Zone mood rings are playful, retro-style novelty rings featuring a thermochromic stone that shifts colors based on your finger's temperature. The "mood stone" contains li quid crystals that twist and untwist as they heat up or cool down, causing them to reflect different wavelengths of light. Because your finger's temperature is heavily influenced by peripheral blood flow, the ring changes hues when you are excited (warm) or stressed (cool). Show more
