Shot from directly above, ballerinas in white tutus are arranged into a tight grid — rows and columns of overlapping tulle discs, each dancer's head and arms breaking the pattern j ust enough to keep it from becoming wallpaper. The repetition is the subject. Seen from overhead the individual dancers give way to a tiled surface, closer to a mosaic floor than a corps de ballet, with the negative space between the skirts doing as much compositional work as the skirts themselves.Fine art giclée print on premium archival paper.
