Munich Airport (MUC) is Germany's second-busiest airport and Lufthansa's primary southern base, connecting Bavaria and the broader Alpine region to destinations across 6 continents. This metal print maps that reach precisely, rendered from ADS-B flight tracking data. Every flight path is colorized by altitude, climbing from soft low-level tones to vivid cruising-altitude hues across your chosen palette. The print visualizes all 8,347 flights recorded May 17-26, 2026, the 34th anniversary of the overnight move when 5,000 workers and 700 trucks opened a new airport in just 16 hours. Each track is a data point from that specific window in time, printed direct-to-metal on an aluminum panel. For anyone who knows what MUC represents in European aviation, this is the piece that says so.
