About Multiplex NisargaMultiplex Nisarga (Trichoderma viride 1.5% W.P.) is a bio-control fungus that protects the root system against root-knot nematodes and soil borne fungal diseases. It effectively controls root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) along with wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum or Fusarium solani, and root rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii, in crops such as tomato, brinjal, carrot and okra. Nisarga works through antibiosis and competition for nutrients, and is recommended as a seed treatment, nursery bed treatment and soil application before transplanting, along with a main field broadcast option for wider use.Multiplex Nisarga Technical ContentTrichoderma Viride: 1.5% w/w (CFU count: 2 x 10⁶/gm min. Strain: IIHR-TV-5, Accession No. ITCC 6889)Mode of ActionNisarga works through Trichoderma viride, a fungal bioagent that suppresses pathogenic fungi through antibiosis, using secondary metabolites, and by competing with them for nutrients. It secretes cellulase and chitinase enzymes that destroy the cell wall of disease causing pathogenic fungi or bacteria, and it protects the root system against root-knot nematodes and the soil borne pathogens they are associated with.Key Features and Benefits of Multiplex Nisarga Controls root-knot nematodes and wilt/root rot: Effective against root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) along with wilt (Fusarium oxysporum or Fusarium solani) or root rot (Sclerotium rolfsii), depending on the crop. Protects the root system: Works as a bio-control fungus that protects the root system against these soil-borne pathogens and nematodes. Not phytotoxic: Not phytotoxic to the crop when used at the recommended dosage. Compatible with other bio-inputs: Compatible with most bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides, though it should not be mixed with fungicides. Dual mode of pathogen suppression: Works through antibiosis and competition for nutrients and produces cellulase and chitinase enzymes that break down the pathogen's cell wall. After coating, dry the seeds in shade before sowing. Do not apply Nisarga to chemically treated seeds. Nursery Bed Treatment: Apply nursery beds with Multiplex Nisarga at 50 gm per square metre. Soil Application (Crop Specific): Apply Trichoderma Viride 1.5% W.P. at 5 kg per hectare with 5 tonnes per hectare of enriched FYM to the soil before transplanting. Main Field Broadcast: Mix 2 kg of Multiplex Nisarga in 200 kg of well decomposed compost, or alternatively in 90 kg of Multiplex Annapurna, and broadcast over 1 acre of land. FYM Enrichment: To enrich farm yard manure, add 1 kg of Trichoderma Viride 1.5% W.P. to 1 tonne of farm yard manure or compost. Leave the enriched FYM under shade for 15 days, maintaining optimum moisture, and mix thoroughly at an interval of 5 days. Equipment Used in Application: Seed treatment drums. Best Time to Apply: Apply Nisarga before sowing, before transplanting, or during nursery and field preparation, as given. It is not phytotoxic to the crop at the recommended dosage.Compatibility, Safety and StorageTank Mix CompatibilityCompatible with most bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides.
