The FM2 is one of the most respected mechanical 35mm SLRs ever made — a fully manual, largely battery-independent body built to professional standards with a shutter that runs to 1 /4000 sec and syncs flash at 1/200. Released in 1982, it became a standard for reliability and precision, and it's still treated that way. Center-weighted TTL metering with a + o − over/under LED display in the viewfinder, takes Nikon AI and AI-S F-mount lenses (pre-AI lenses need conversion), and runs on two SR44 batteries for the meter only — the shutter fires fully mechanical without them. Built for working photographers and it shows. Show more
