Any fan of Peter Rowan and bluegrass music knows the fateful story of Panama Red. Here's a wonderful Orchestra Model inspired by the spirit of that classic song—it also features ab solutely stunning Panamanian Rosewood back and sides. This rare tonewood shows beautiful burnt orange coloring, and it offers superb resonance and a tone profile similar to Brazilian Rosewood or Cocobolo. This Bourgeois OM Vintage Custom is expertly-voiced with an Aged Tone Torrefied Adirondack Spruce top and Aged Tone bracing. Its tone is balanced and rich in overtones, and it is truly an inspiring instrument to play. But when it's in your lap, it's hard to do more than stare at the unique figuring of the Panamanian Rosewood. Nevertheless, it somehow sounds better than it looks.
