Patchwork Fields is an original artwork from Mandy Galbraith's Patchwork Landscape Collection, inspired by the mosaic of fields and farmland that shape the landscape of Hope Valley in Derbyshire, England. Built through layers of acrylic paint, collage, texture, and intuitive mark making, the work celebrates the patterns, colours, and textures that emerge across the countryside. Fragments of paper and layered paint echo the divisions and connections found within the landscape itself. Part of a collection inspired by the landscapes surrounding Eyam, Hathersage, and Edale, Patchwork Fields captures the beauty of cultivated land and the stories held within it.
