Age restriction: training weapons are sold to customers aged 18 and over only. They are designed for supervised, non-contact martial arts practice. Anyone under 18 should only use them under the supervision of a parent or qualified instructor. Plated Training Sword – 116cm Silver-Look Plated ABS (Not Metal) | Full 116cm | Substantial 855g The Plated Training Sword is the largest piece in our realistic display range — a full-length European-style sword with crossguard, finished in silver-look plating over an ABS build. At 116cm it commands attention in demonstrations, on stage and on the display stand, while remaining a safe plastic trainer underneath. The substantial 855g weight delivers genuinely realistic handling for stance work, movement, transitions and controlled sword drills — the closest thing in the range to the feel of a full-size sword, without the steel. Key Features Silver-look plated finish — realistic metallic appearance on a safe ABS build Full 116cm with traditional crossguard — the commanding display and demonstration piece Substantial 855g weight — authentic full-sword handling for forms work Safe plastic construction — no edge, no steel, no sharpening Display and training in one — equally at home on the wall or in supervised drills Technical Specifications Type Plated training / display sword Length 116cm Weight 855g Material ABS plastic with silver-look plating (not metal) Use Forms, demonstrations, display and controlled weapons drills under instruction Ideal For Display collections, stage, film and cosplay Demonstrations where realistic appearance matters Full-length stance, reach and transition drills Practitioners wanting maximum realism without steel FAQs Is the blade actually metal? No — it's ABS plastic with a silver-look plated finish. It photographs and displays like polished steel but has no edge and can't be sharpened, making it legal to own and safe to train with as a plastic trainer. How does it compare to your plated katana range?Same silver-look ABS family — the 106cm plated katana and wakizashi pair carry Japanese styling, while this 116cm piece brings the European crossguard profile at the largest size and heaviest weight in the range. Will the plating wear with training? The plating is durable for display and controlled forms work, but like any plated finish it can mark with repeated hard contact. For high-repetition impact drills choose our plain PP trainers; keep this one for forms, demonstrations and display. Delivery Ships Australia-wide from our Sydney warehouse.
