Claire Salvo’s intimate drawings transform ordinary objects into quiet monuments of human presence. Rendered with precision and care, each work lingers on everyday surfaces—creases in a crumpled napkin, the worn edge of a cassette tape, the soft bend of a used matchstick. These familiar forms are stripped of utility and recharged with meaning, holding the subtle residue of touch, memory, and time. In Salvo’s hands, what is commonly overlooked becomes contemplative and tender—evidence of lives lived, gestures made, and moments passed. Show more
