Like diamonds, zircons have an adamantine luster, which is brilliant, sparkly and mirror like, making them sought after as gems. It is also a historical stone, with Theophrastus being the first to mention it in about 300B.C. During the Middle Ages, it was worn as an amulet for protection, abundance and wisdom. This icy blue zircon has a brilliant, mirror like shine. Framed by a polished silvery platinum halo, at the compass points are placed medieval style gold and platinum rosettes.
