Rosella The rosella bush is believed to have been introduced to Australia by Indonesian fishermen, possibly thousands of years ago. In this time, it has developed characteristics t hat differentiate it from rosella plants growing in other parts of the world. High in vitamin C, the flowers have a tart but sweet flavour. Across the Top End they are harvested by makers of jams and syrups. They are also a popular addition to white wine and champage, enhancing the flavour and creating visual appeal. Show more
