The Living Silk Pure Silk Jacket is an elegant and versatile occasion jacket designed to provide a beautiful finishing layer over dresses, skirts and special-occasion outfits. With its timeless silhouette, flattering ¾ sleeves and luxurious pure silk fabric, it is an especially elegant choice for the mother of the bride, mother of the groom, wedding guest or any woman dressing for a special occasion. Designed to sit beautifully over the shoulders and arms, this silk jacket provides just the right amount of coverage without hiding the outfit underneath. The ¾ sleeves can be cuffed back for a more relaxed finish, making this a versatile piece that can be styled in different ways. Choosing a Jacket for a Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom Outfit A silk jacket can be an elegant finishing layer for a wedding outfit, providing graceful coverage over the shoulders and arms while complementing a dress or skirt. Our Complete Mother of the Bride & Mother of the Groom Guide offers helpful advice on choosing colours, fabrics, silhouettes and accessories for a beautifully considered wedding-day outfit. A Silk Jacket for the Mother of the Bride For the mother of the bride, a pure silk jacket can be the perfect finishing touch to a wedding outfit. Wear it over a cocktail dress, tea length dress, ankle length dress or full-length gown for an elegant and polished look. It is particularly useful when you would like a little extra coverage for the ceremony, photographs or cooler parts of the wedding day, while still allowing your dress to remain the focus of your outfit. The Pure Silk Jacket is equally beautiful as a mother of the groom jacket, making it a versatile choice for the wedding day and future special occasions. An Elegant Silk Wedding Jacket A silk wedding jacket is a timeless alternative to a traditional bolero or cardigan. The natural beauty and subtle lustre of pure silk add sophistication to an occasion outfit, while the simple silhouette allows the jacket to complement rather than compete with your dress. Choose from elegant colours including Midnight Blue, Sage Green, Black, Silver and Soft Pink to complement your wedding outfit or create a refined contrast. The jacket can also be worn beyond the wedding day with evening dresses, cocktail outfits and other special-occasion pieces. How to Style a Pure Silk Jacket Wear your Pure Silk Jacket over a Living Silk dress for a coordinated occasion outfit, or pair it with a silk skirt and top for an elegant two-piece look. For a classic mother of the bride outfit, choose a complementary or tonal colour. Midnight Blue, Silver and Soft Pink can create a sophisticated wedding combination, while Black provides a timeless evening option. The jacket is also an excellent choice when you want the flexibility to change your outfit throughout the day — wear it for the ceremony and photographs, then remove it for the reception. Beautiful Coverage Without Losing Elegance If you are looking for something to wear over your shoulders with a dress, the Pure Silk Jacket provides a polished alternative to a shawl or wrap. Its tailored shape gives more structure than a soft wrap, while the ¾ sleeves provide elegant arm coverage. This makes it particularly useful for women who want a little more coverage while still wearing a lightweight, luxurious fabric. Pure Silk for Weddings and Special Occasions Handcrafted and Australian designed by Living Silk, this pure silk jacket for women is made for elegant dressing throughout the year.
