This is the closest piece we make to a real plaza bench: narrow, low, and unforgiving, so your setup has to be squared up before you commit. Two grind edges run the full length, both formed by the acrylic cap rather than by the wood, which is why the slide holds its speed as it wears instead of going furry. At 3.1 ounces it's the lightest obstacle in the line. Size: 7.875 x 1.75 x 1.75 in Grind edges: two, one down each long side, both formed by the acrylic cap Surface: matte teal acrylic slide top Weight: 3.1 oz, the lightest obstacle in the line Build: laser cut, glued, and hand sanded in Rochester, NY Includes: 1 Bench obstacle, fully assembled. Fingerboard not included. Details The BuildEvery Session x Teak piece starts as a design our own crew rides before it goes into production. We laser cut the parts from high grade Baltic birch plywood, glue and assemble them by hand, then hand sand every edge until the lips and landings feel finished. Every obstacle is handcrafted start to finish in our Rochester, NY shop. Session Fingerboards is part of the Teak Tuning family, and the Session x Teak collaboration line is where our fingerboarding obstacles come from. Materials and WearBaltic birch body under a teal acrylic cap. Scuffs on the acrylic are normal wear and they don't slow the slide. It's light, so hold it or put a bit of tape under the base if your desk is slick. CareKeep it dry and indoors. Plywood swells if it sits in moisture, so keep it off damp surfaces and wipe it with a dry cloth. Use a dry cloth on the acrylic and skip solvents and polish, they haze the finish. Teak GuaranteeEvery Session x Teak piece is built by us in Rochester, which means it's backed by the Teak Guarantee: if it arrives damaged, arrives defective, or breaks within 90 days of delivery, we replace it or refund it. Reach out with a photo of the issue. Full guarantee details. Frequently Asked Questions Who makes Session x Teak obstacles?Session Fingerboards is part of the Teak Tuning family, established in 2025. Every piece in the line is designed, laser cut, glued, and hand sanded start to finish in our Rochester, NY shop. Is it solid wood? The body is high grade Baltic birch plywood, laser cut and glued up in house. It's real wood all the way through, not a printed plastic shell, so the faces hold their shape session after session. Will it slide around on a desk?At 3.1 ounces it's the lightest piece in the line, so on a slick desk you'll want to steady it or put a bit of tape under the base. On wood or a mat it stays put. Does it fit all fingerboards?Yes. These are open riding surfaces scaled for standard fingerboards, so deck width doesn't matter: narrow old school decks, 32mm and 34mm standards, and 36mm and wider shapes all ride the same obstacles. How does it wear over time? Each material breaks in its own way. Bare birch scuffs and burnishes darker where you ride it, acrylic scuffs in and slides faster, and stainless steel polishes where you grind. All of it is wear, not damage, and the obstacle rides better for it. Do I need to assemble anything? No. Every obstacle ships fully assembled and padded from our Rochester, NY shop. Unbox it and ride. What does the Teak Guarantee cover?Replace or refund within 90 days of delivery for anything that arrives damaged or defective, or breaks in that window.
