Uppercase Flashcard Set Learning letter sounds is one thing. Using them to read real words is another. Memory Flashcards & CVC Flashcards – Uppercase Letters bridges that gap by helping your child move naturally from recognizing letters to blending simple consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words. The first half of the set builds strong letter-sound recognition. Each uppercase letter is paired with a memorable animal and a simple motion, giving your child more than a picture to remember. He sees the letter, says the sound, and acts it out, creating multiple connections that make recall easier. Matching cards turn review into a game, encouraging repetition without making practice feel repetitive. Then those same letter sounds begin working together. The CVC flashcards combine familiar letters into simple words, with visual cues beneath each letter to support sounding out from beginning to end. Because the cues stay consistent, your child can focus on blending sounds instead of trying to remember what each letter says. That consistency builds confidence. Instead of getting stuck on individual sounds or relying on guesses, your child experiences the satisfaction of watching separate letter sounds become words he can actually read. The progression is intentional: learn the sounds, recognize them quickly, blend them into words, and begin reading with confidence. Each step prepares your child for the next, making early reading feel achievable from the very beginning.
